1 Table Spoon of Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 cup of Yogurt
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Table Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Table Teaspoon of Vanilla
1-1/4 cup of Flour
1/4 cup of Raisin or
1/4 cup of Dried Cranberry
1/2 cup of Nuts

Wheat fungus: rusting away the staple
"A deadly fungus, known as Ug99, which kills wheat, has likely spread to Pakistan from Africa according to reports in the British New Scientist magazine. If true, that threatens the vital Asian Bread Basket including the Punjab region. The spread of the deadly virus, stem rust, against which an effective fungicide does not exist, comes as world grain stocks reach the lowest in four decades and government subsidized bio-ethanol production, especially in the USA, Brazil and EU are taking land out of food production at alarming rates. The deadly fungus is being used by Monsanto and the US Government to spread patented GMO seeds."
The article points to some clear issues facing our world as we continue to use less and less strains of plants. Big corporations have seed bank ownership and are therefore controlling farmers and consumers by highlighting their lack of access to time tested disease resistant strains.

Pizzeria owner Joe Vicari shakes his head as he prepares to rip open a 50-pound bag of flour for another batch of dough. "That's 37-bucks. $37. I couldn't believe it!" says Vicari.
Since opening Mariella Pizza in mid-town Manhattan 30-years ago, Vicari, says he has never experienced such a jump in the cost of his ingredients.
"I can't even believe how much the flour [goes] up. When I see the bill I can't believe it, that's too much," says the veteran pizza maker, who emigrated from Sicily. Only four weeks ago, Vicari says, he was paying just $16-a-bag for Gold Medal brand flour, which at $37-a-bag now seems more golden than ever. The looming food crisis is 'worse than climate change'
Climate change gets a lot of attention these days, but according to Britain's new chief scientific adviser, we should be more concerned about the future of food. He warned that in the rush to grow biofuel crops as alternative energy sources, we're putting our food security at risk. Food demands are increasing with population growth and increasing wealth in developing nations, driving the need to produce more food crops up. We've already seen the price of food staples going up.
"There is progress on climate change. But out there is another major problem. It is very hard to imagine how we can see a world growing enough crops to produce renewable energy and at the same time meet the enormous increase in the demand for food which is quite properly going to happen as we alleviate poverty."
He also said that climate change would lead to pressure on food supplies because of decreased rainfall in many areas and crop failures related to climate. "The agriculture industry needs to double its food production, using less water than today," he said. The food crisis would bite more quickly than climate change, he added.
