More US downtowns choosing streetcars
Cities from Cincinnati to New Orleans, are using streetcars to revive neglected neighborhoods.
"At least 40 other cities are exploring streetcar plans to spur economic development, ease traffic congestion and draw young professionals and empty-nest baby boomers back from the suburbs."
I might be a nerd, but I always get excited for great public transport.
I actually moved to NY from LA, because of the Metro.

Computer error prices gas at $1.40 in Ohio
"CINCINNATI — A computer error caused a Cincinnati area service station to sell gas for $1.40 instead of $4.10, leading to a major traffic jam.
Vehicles clogged the area around a Marathon station in suburban Sycamore Township while the bargain was available for roughly three hours on Tuesday, until Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies persuaded the station to shut down." Man charged in theft left his son
Police near Cincinnati have charged an Indiana man with theft based partly on what he left behind when he ran from police — his 12-year-old son.
Brent Leisgang, 30, of Cedar Grove, Ind., was arrested Wednesday and has been charged with child endangering, possession of criminal tools, possession of drugs, criminal trespass and two counts each of theft and criminal damaging.
Leisgang is accused of trying to steal catalytic converters from a car lot in Harrison last week. The converters are popular targets of thieves because they can be sold to scrap dealers. He is being held on $80,000 bond.
