Damn, I really thought that Americans we hyped about the Comme des Garcons for H&M collaboration but all this week Appledaily/Atnext.com - Hong Kong’s top newspaper has been revealing more views of the highly anticipated collaboration. It has been so serious that you might want to ring the alarm on this entire H&M series. While we’ve damn near took full view of the entire collection…we can take another look at how the entire collection can be seen in many different views. Please keep in mind that the collection does feature many interesting pieces, but I am starting to wonder if this collection will compliment all body types including min. Even still I’ll be the first critic on the scene to make my evaluation come Nov 13th.

We are almost a month away from what looks to be one of the hottest collaborations since “ham & cheese” on the H&M forefront. The web has been buzzing for months about the Comme des Garcons collaboration - anticipating to see what looks Rei Kawakubo has conjured up for the masses. And well while you sit back thinking that all looks for both men and women were all too avant- garde…I will have you know that these looks are indeed very “street” worthy - nothing too out of the norm…right? Well if you love polka dot…with an ‘abstract chaser’ of a blazer behind it - then this collection is definitely right up your alley. Reebok x Hasbro: Monopoly Footwear Collection | TrashBag Aesthetics
Now when I first heard the news back in April - I couldn’t believe it……
I said to myself “Hmmmm….I wonder what the collection would look like”, and thanks to my favorite PR rep Laura….I got the goods in my email box. Reebok has teamed up with Hasbro to set fourth of unveiling a totally new sneaker experience inspired by one of the world’s most popular board game….yup, you’ve guessed it….MONOPOLY. The Reebok x Hasbro Monopoly footwear collection is set to be released late this month - which coincides with the highly anticipated release of Hasbro’s MONOPOLY Here & Now” The World Edition board game. The MONOPOLY footwear collection by Reebok will feature a cool variety of different styles for both adults as well as children, and will be available as selected mall based retailers across the globe.
The first models to drop in the collection will pay tribute to the MONOPOLY game itself, along with the global recognition that it has obtained over the years. The collection itself is set to debut worldwide in late August - which will include the Reverse Jam designs and will be priced at $40 for toddlers / $85 for men’s sizes. The women’s Courtee styles will be available in both a mid & low cut, and will be priced between $75-$80. Slated for November will be the second series - which will consist of a collection dedicated to the MONOPOLY games metal icons.
So far I think that the collection in itself is pretty innovated even for Reebok. I would love to see what the entire series looks like in person…before I put my initial stamp on the entire collection.

Madonna’s ‘Sticky
Ok…see I’m totally clueless as to what is going on in the world of music! Either I just walk around oblivious to what’s going on….or it’s the mere fact that at the end of the day - fashion is the only thing on my brain. Case in point….Arianne Phillips designing Madonna’s costumes for her ‘Sticky & Sweet” tour. Phillips has been designing ‘Lady Madge’s’ ever so changing look for the past 11 years…DAMN! So just think about how dirt old Madonna really is…just joking!
Either way she remains one of my personal favorites, and only lord knows how the 77 year old designer can keep up with Madonna. The upcoming “Sticky & Sweet” tour is slated to begin this month on the 23rd - so far Madonna has a long list of designers throwing the “goods” in her direction such as Givenchy’s own Riccardo Tisci who already designed two outfits, while my long lost “husband in another lifetime” Tom Ford provided suites for the band. Miu Miu has blessed the feet of Madonna’s tour - by providing custom made shoes [three pairs to be exact]. Stella McCartney threw in a pair of thigh-high boots to mix things up, Moschino provided sunglasses for Madonna’s killer blue eyes, and other ‘knick knacks’ have also been provided by Jeremy Schoot, Roberto Cavalli, & Yves Saint Laurent.
I don’t know if this is more of a concert….or better yet a fashion show - but I am quite sure Madonna will have the whole concert on lock down mode, as so normally does.

I almost died and went to WeSC heaven as I feasting my big brown eyes on tons of jackets, premium denim, blouses, oversized sweat shirts, & more. TBA Takes A Quick Glace At Colette x Gap Pop-Up Store
Yesterday it was all about catching up with the scenery in the city….
With all of the new stores that are making 5th avenue their new humble abode, I couldn’t resist the urge to take some shot of the new Colette x Gap pop-up store that is still under major construction. While the construction workers managed to curse me out - I found myself ignoring them…only to commence in what I came to do….and that was to be NOSY!
The excitement of the pop-up store comes from all end of the age spectrum. Passerby would be customers stood by trying to take a peek of the construction as well. The concept store is adjacent to the New York City GAP flagship store at 54th & 5th avenue. The Colette x GAP store is set to open Saturday September 6th through Sunday October 5th 2008. Yesterday was all about covering the streets of Manhattan like a bad perm. Seriously…Kristina [from the Clones] and I - headed uptown to Nike to check out what is new on deck. And that is when I finally ran into the Nike Dunk High Quilted Patent Olympic Pack. This luscious pack features five patent colorways of; Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, & Black - which all symbolize the rings of the Olympic Flag. Oh and please turn on that light bulb before stepping into this room - where you should be casting your vote on who did their damn thing for the fall ‘08. It seems as though that notion “Great Minds Think Alike” is serious business. Either that….or there is a bad case of ‘biting’ involved! Ahhh..it looks as though Unkie Karl has tighten up his icy white pony tail and got to work this fall….and so did Unkie Stewie - brining fourth a high heel concept that has triggered off that “bright idea”. And while Marc Jacobs & Prada locked things down for S/S 2008 with heart pounding precision ,Chanel & Loewe would like to cap the year out on a brighter note. So the question is….who ran the look better?

Niketown’s Newly Renovated Sportswear Department
Last Friday, I had the chance of taking full view of the newly renovated 5th floor of Niketown NYC store. Now I’ve been told that the 5th floor would be going through a serious face-lift, but I never knew that the construction would be so meticulous…..to the point where you simply can’t stop but to look at every crack and corner of the 5th floor Sportswear department. And would you believe me - if I had told you that the renovation took place in a matter of days? Yeah…I think not! Thankfully, my good friend & 1# Nike Specialist Kenny Mack, gave me the grand tour; showing me different sectors of the Sportswear department that bring fourth Nike’s rich history. I can’t front…I was a bit stumped and learned something new while walking through the entire floor. My absolute favorite feature of the entire renovation had to be the fitting rooms. Each fitting room was created to give the Nike consumer a different experience in what makes our sneaker culture so globally appreciated. Oh…and please don’t get me started on this one fitting room that had the super limited edition Kaws x Nike Airforce One…I almost lost it! So, if you are a kleptomaniac/obsessed sneaker head I’d suggest that you get your initial thoughts under wraps…because it wont be easy to bypass security with what I’ve seen thus far. While the newly furnished 5th floor grabbed my attention, I had the chance to take snap shots of some new merchandise that is currently on tab for your splurging pleasure…so when you have a chance this week - haul major tail to Niketown. Vans x Marisa Miller
While Vans is usually known for teaming up with the world’s finest artist, this season they’ve teamed up with Supermodel Marisa Miller for a collaboration that is interesting appealing to the eye. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has turned her love for the catwalk towards the feet of Vans lovers, to create the Vans by Marisa Miller collection. This collection features the classic Vans Slip-On LX & Sk8-Hi LX - also added into the collection is a cool sandal which goes perfect for that beach loving femme on the prowl. Hello my darlings….
Your girl has been damn near killing herself to get a few projects off the ground, and well I thought that I would have had a few of my projects completed by the weekend. But that never happen….so I will keep you posted on those projects some time this week. On Friday I got a little phone call from the Nike iD birdie, telling me that my beloved sneaker has finally arrived. And boy..I couldn’t even contain myself…..I ran to the nearest train on a mission to get to 57th street as soon as possible. Before finally seeing the end product of my sneaker created along side my favorite Nike iD specialist Kenny Mack, I got a grand tour of the newly renovated 5th floor - there will a preview to come in the next post. So there it was….my sneaker in it’s full glory - I’m in LOVE!

Oh GAWD…..
I’ve died and gone to SB heaven…. I’ve searched high and low just to really take a good look at these much talked about Marge Simpson Dunk High SB’s, only to find myself sitting in front of my note book…literally drooling! Following the theme of the 2004 Homer Simpson Dunk Low edition, this new Nike Dunk High features Marge’s trademark color way of yellow [for the skin tone], blue [ for the hair], and green [ for Marge’s dress].
