What Community Looks Like
In fall of 2007, the infamous Westboro Baptist Church (also known as the God Hates Fags church, or the people who protest soldier's funerals) came to my hometown of Frederick, MD to protest in front of a local church known for it's acceptance of the Gay community. The racist, sexist, homophobic, and otherwise ignorant group of roughly 8-10 of the church members (with their young children in tow) arrived only to be not so warmly welcomed by an outraged group of several hundred counter-protesters. Westboro Baptist Church strikes again
Members of the Westboro Baptist Church stopped by Schofield Barracks, an Army post in Hawaii, for crumpets and tea. Actually, they came to spread hate and hurt whomever they could with nasty words and ugly signs. It's astonishing that these are actually REAL people. Westboro Baptist Church and Shirley Phelps-Roper are on the war path since the sad untimely passing of Heath Ledger and were recently on the radio in Washington D.C. Topics of discussion were sins, Britney Spears, Heath Ledger, their future protests, and her illegitimate son.

The disgusting antics of the WBC has been seen at military funerals for sometime now and this will be their first protest at a celebrity funeral.
Mr. Ledger died on January 22 and was famous for such films as "A Knights Tale" "Brokeback Mountain" and his most recently finished film "The Dark Knight".

Well as many of you know the WBC (Westboro Baptist Church) from their famous sayings such as "you eat your kids" "god bless IEDS" and their claim to fame "god hates fags"
they are also famed for protesting at military funerals, claiming 9/11 to be a good thing, and believing other atrocities to be the graceful will of god.
