Howard Stern, Ostrosky tie knot in NYC
NEW YORK (AP) -- Shock jock Howard Stern has embraced tradition. The radio talk show host known for hosting porn stars married his longtime girlfriend, Beth Ostrosky, on Friday.
"I can't wait to marry Howard," she told Newsday before the ceremony at Manhattan's tony Le Cirque restaurant, adding, "I know, everyone laughs!"
The bride wore a white chiffon gown with cutaway back and sides. Officiating at the ceremony was actor Mark Consuelos, Kelly Ripa's husband and an ordained minister.
The 180 guests included Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel, Steve Schirripa, Chevy Chase, Tommy Mottola, and Donald and Melania Trump.
They dined on tuna tataki, scrambled eggs with white truffles and striped bass with caviar - washed down with wine and champagne. Songwriter Phoebe Snow serenaded the newlyweds with "You Send Me," and Joel crooned "The Stranger."
The wedding is an about-face for the media maverick, who once worried on the air that marriage to the model could spoil a good thing.
"It's a nice feeling that we get along great," he said in 2006. "We're very happy, and I don't want to (blank) it up."
But he took the plunge anyway.
Stern told listeners he surprised Ostrosky with an engagement ring in February 2007 - while they were naked in bed.
During his first marriage, he boasted of his fidelity while hosting strippers and porn stars on his show.
Stern and his wife of 21 years, Alison Berns, had three daughters before divorcing in 2001. Their romance inspired his film "Private Parts." NEW YORK (AP) -- Shock jock Howard Stern has embraced tradition. The radio talk show host known for hosting porn stars married his lon... more -

STERN AUCTIONS OFF WOMAN'S VIRGINITY
Famed radio host Howard Stern is set to shock audiences once again - when he helps auction off a 22-year-old girl's virginity on Tuesday (09Sep08).
The San Diego, California woman approached Stern to appear on his Sirius radio show in a desperate bid to pay off her college tuition.
Using the pseudonym of Natalie Dylan, she tells the New York Daily News, "I don't have a moral dilemma with it... We live in a capitalist society. Why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity?
"I understand some people may condemn me. But I think this is empowering. I'm using what I have to better myself."
But Dylan insists her rising bills won't mean giving it up to the highest bidder. She says: "I want someone with chemistry. We'll take bids until I find a suitor I'm happy with."
The auction will be conducted online on adult website Bunnyranch.com. Famed radio host Howard Stern is set to shock audiences once again - when he helps auction off a 22-year-old girl's virginity on ... more -

Artie Lange Enters Rehab
Not much is sacred to Artie Lange, but the health of Howard Stern's right-hand man is apparently no laughing matter.
Lange's publicist has confirmed to E! News that the longtime shock-jock sidekick has admitted himself to an intensive outpatient rehab facility.
There's no word on where the New York-based comedian is being treated, or what he's being treated for.
News of his in-treatment status comes after Lange canceled a string of stand-up dates, as well as a planned appearance on the Comedy Central roast of Bob Saget, which taped in Los Angeles Sunday night.
Last April, Lange made headlines when a verbal on-air argument with his personal assistant turned physical, resulting in him tendering his resignation to the Sirius Satellite Radio show.
While Stern accepted the resignation, an apologetic Lange was allowed to return to the show later that month with the caveat that another similar incident would result in his termination.

Dolly Parton vs. Howard Stern
Country legend Dolly Parton isn't flattered by a recent Howard Stern parody, in which the satellite radio host mashed up Parton quotes to make it sound as if the singer were spewing offensive and racist remarks. In a post on her official website, Parton is quoted as saying she has "never been so shocked, hurt and humiliated" in her life, and even hints and at potentially suing the shock jock.
Parton was the victim of one of Stern's "audiobook" bits, in which celebrity quotes are pieced together to form chopped-up, raunchy sentences. In the past, Stern has remixed quotes from the likes of William Shatner and Oprah.
In the bit with Parton, which originally aired last week, Stern and his cohorts cut up Parton quotes in an attempt to make it sound as if the artist were saying a host of sexually explicit and racist remarks. Said Parton on her site: "In a blue million years, I would never have such vulgar things come out of my mouth. They have done editing or some sort of trickery to make this horrible, horrible thing. Please accept my apology for them and certainly know I had nothing to do with this. If there was ever going to be a lawsuit, it's going to be over this. Just wanted you to know that I am completely devastated by this."
While the explicit content of the Stern bit prevents me from linking to it, has Parton's response to the bit simply brought more publicity to Stern, or did the overtly racist content of the sketch warrant a response from the artist? Artie Lange resigns from the Howard Stern show!!
Could this be for real? Artie Lange has been a fixture on the Stern show since coming on x years ago. The man is a comical genius but his erratic behavior has gotten him into trouble throughout his tenure on the show. A "recovering" drug and alcohol abuser many fans including myself believe that the Howard Stern Show actually helped Artie stay out of trouble. Either way things didn't sound to good today and I actually believe that this could be the end of Artie Lange, both on the show and off it.
Artie, if you're out there, "Come back to us! We love you man!"
From the link (after Artie had a dispute with an assistant):
Stern then expressed his feelings on the situation, saying he cannot condone Lange's actions. The comedian, who has had a similar outburst on the air in the past, said he cannot guarantee he can refrain from acting out in the future. Upon hearing that, Stern said he cannot have Lange around with the potential of such actions looming.
Artie then offered his resignation; Stern accepted, but told Lange to leave and cool off. Just before Lange left he told Stern: "I'm not a good person ... I gotta leave ... I love you"
Teddy returned to the studio several minutes later and said there was overreacting from everyone, but did not downplay the seriousness of the situation.
Show producer Gary Dell'Abate came in to analyze the situation, but he and Stern admitted they "did not know what to make of it all."
