      During Minnie Riperton's early years at Chicago's Chess Records, she sang backup for many acclaimed performers and was in the experimental rock/soul band Rotary Connection. The peak of her short career was her 1974 hit single, Lovin' You, from the gold album Perfect Angel. Stevie Wonder cites the late Minnie Riperton as one of the three greatest singers of our time.
