50 Cent Fires Warning Shots At Rick Ross
Last year, 50 Cent didn't have the year he thought he should have had. He wasn't alone in thinking that. Many fans also believed 2007 wasn't quite the best year for Fif. Some even went so far as to say he may have been falling off. Now, 50 admits there were errors made, but he mainly puts the blame on the label. According to new reports, 50 is stating that the label heads, including Eminem, asked Fif not to release too many mixtapes citing that the tapes would take away from his official album record sales.
"They think I'm crazy," 50 told MTV about Eminem and label heads.

Prodigy's Last Words As A Free Man
In his final video before entering his prison term, Prodigy spoke on his upcoming album, H.N.I.C. 2, respecting people who speak their minds, and what fans should expect from him upon being released.
The 10 minute, self-recorded, clip featured Prodigy accompanied by his wife as he drove through the Holland Tunnel to turn himself in to his three-and-a-half-year bid. Balancing driving and recording, he slightly touched on the upcoming follow-up to his 2000 album H.N.I.C.
“I’m fittin’ to turn [myself] in. I’ll be right back,” Prodigy said. “Trust me, I’m leaving y’all with a dope album, so look forward for all of that. Video crazy. Everything’s crazy. I love it when a job comes together. The music speaks for itself,” he continued.

T.I. Reconnects With His Roots On "Paper Trail"
T.I. released his fifth studio album, T.I. vs. T.I.P. on July 3, 2007 and it was certified by the RIAA as having over 1 million copies sold less than two months later. Despite the commercial success of the album, most critics and fans had mixed reviews, saying that T.I. had ventured away from his signature sound. It appears that during the months since his October 2007 arrest on gun possession charges, the "King of the South" is making a concerted effort to regain that sound by reconnecting with some of his former producers.
"It's coming along really well," says longtime collaborator DJ Toomp. Toomp, who was behind hits such as "24's," "U Don't Know Me" and "What You Know," will serve as the executive producer of the upcoming album, entitled Paper Trail.

DJ Green Lantern To Drop Obama Inspired Mixtape
Barack Obama has gotten a lot of attention from the Hip Hop community. After being name checked by Common, defended by Rhymefest, backed by Russell Simmons, and immortalized in a video by Will.I.Am, the Democratic presidential hopeful will now have a mix tape based on his campaign mantra, “Yes We Can” by DJ Green Lantern.
After hearing of Simmons’ endorsement of the Illinois Senator, Green decided to back Obama as well, with more than a verbal endorsement in the form.

Kanye West Debuts Travel Website
Kanye West has tried his hand at producing, rapping, fashion design and blogging. Now he will attempt to add travel agent to the list. This week marks the launch of KanyeTravel.com, a travel site which maintains partnerships with other online travel agencies to offer low-priced airfares, hotels and rental cars. The site charges no service or membership fees, and also plans to offer travel packages which include Kanye West concert tickets and officially licensed merchandise.

Hip Hop Album Sales: Week Ending 3/30/08
It looks like Diddy is at it again! Making the Band male-group Day 26 rules the charts with their self-titled debut album selling 189k this week. The ladies of Diddy's Danity Kane, though #1 last week, have dropped to #4 selling 88k. They were beat out by debuts from Panic at the Disco and Counting Crows, respectively. Rick Ross' Trilla comes in at #6 with 51k, while Flo Rida slips in at #9 (33k sold) to round out the Hip Hop/ R&B artists in the top 10 for the first week of April....
