ADD and ADHD Relief Without Pharmaceuticals
"Evidence is mounting that dietary changes may help children control their Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder at least as well as Ritalin does. Evidence also shows that some dietary changes - like increased Omega-3 consumption - can also enhance learning skills in children who do not have ADHD."
It fascinates me that it has taken the scientific community decades to find natural solutions to a problem that is clearly connected to environmental (nurture) causes because ADD and ADHD are not statistically geographically or genetically similar.
Yet, science produced synthetic pills to override the body's signals within a short time of ADD and ADHD being identified. "Evidence is mounting that dietary changes may help children control their Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder at least as wel... more -
Porn for the blind?
In a world full of hi-res images and mammouth sized screens, have you ever taken a minute to think about the visually impaired?
Well, Porn for the Blind, a nonprofit organisation based in Cambridge, Mass. has done just that. Establishing itself for the sole purpose of making the millions of free porn clips available online accessible to people with visual impairments, volunteer 'audiodescribers' watch porn preview videos and describe the action.
The site was initially slow to take off with only 14 audio descriptions uploaded, but after a little press attention the site streamed more than 40GB to more than 50,000 visitors.

Breaking down barriers for women in tech
This is such an excellent idea. The need to address this known underrepresentation has been thankfully picking up steam, and it's great to see something happening as a result.
"WOMEN ARE UNDERREPRESENTED
Some of the most gifted folks in technology are women yet they are rarely quoted as experts by the mainstream media and blogs. Furthermore women are significantly underrepresented on panels at major technology conferences.
TO BREAK DOWN BARRIERS
The teleSummit aims to break down the barriers and showcase the brilliant talents of women who tech out.
TO MOBILIZE A NETWORK OF WOMEN
One of our long term goals is to create a database of women technology experts to be used as a resource for the media and tech conference organizers. This database will not only provide a strong network of women in the technology sector but support the creative talents and energies of women who thrive in this arena."
The official site contains some interesting resource information. Here are a few things to think about:
