FedEx, voter group hope to ease ballot shipping woes
Geting our ballots back in time to be counted is a major concern of US voters overseas especially when we receive our ballots just two days before the election! Although this new initiative by OVF and FedExExpress won't be able to help us if our ballot arrives the day of the election or later :-( -- which unfortunately does happen sometimes -- it will surely be a help to many of us to return our ballots back in time to be counted this November. For sure, it's a step in the right direction.

Divorce rates among troops "soaring"
There were about 8,700 divorces involving American soldiers last year, compared to an estimated 5,500 in 2001. Research shows that career soldiers are much more likely to contemplate divorce than in the past.
With the Iraq war in its sixth year, some American soldiers are on their third or fourth combat tour - 15 months away from home with just 18 days' leave.
