This is one of those things you have to take a moment to process, as in "did he really just say that?" What's sad is Sen. McCain then shakes his hand and smiles to his wonderful cheering audience. Even sadder, most likely neither man even realized the depravity of the moment or introductory statement. Ridiculous racist sentiment aside, is this really the best person they could find to make this intro? Public speaking doesn't seem to be is forte or first best destiny. Saddest of all - this clown as reproduced, creating a whole new generation of forward thinkers such as himself.
Sen. Obama should use this for fund raising at the very least and if this doesn't convince you to support not only the man but what he so obviously stands for in the face of such arcane ideals nothing else will.
