Flawed Cindy McCain has a grudge list - Times Online
"It was in the late 1980s, after a series of miscarriages and giving birth to three children, that Cindy developed spinal problems and was prescribed painkillers after surgery. Her husband and family had no idea she was secretly taking pills stolen from a charity she had created called the American Voluntary Medical Team, which sent mobile surgical units to war zones. When federal agents began to investigate gaps in the charity’s records, Cindy telephoned her husband, a senator in Washington, and confessed.
She admitted at the time that the 1994 episode had “nearly destroyed both of us”. But she underwent treatment and attended meetings of Narcotics Anonymous as part of a deal with prosecutors who dropped charges.
Cindy recently admitted that she keeps a “grudge list”.
Cindy McCain, now 53, claims she has no interest in policy making - “I am not the legislator in this family. He is” - and that she intends to keep busy running her charities and her family’s company. As first lady, it is clear that she would play a key role. Acknowledging that McCain had made many enemies in Republican ranks, she added: “The only person my husband can trust is me.”

Doesn't sound like first lady material to me! I'll take Michelle Obama over Cindy McCain anytime!
iF THE ONLY PERSON McCAIN CAN TRUST IS HIS WIFE SHOWS PROOF OF HIS GROWING PARANOIA & ALTERED CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS...WHAT ABOUT HIS NEW BEAUTY QUEEN VP PICK....HE CAN'T TRUST HER??? Shortened RNC opened with Cindy McCain, Laura Bush due to Gustav
Mere hours after Hurricane Gustav came ashore, the two women expressed sympathy and support for Louisianans bracing themselves for Gustav.
"America stands with you during this trying time," Cindy McCain, wife of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, said.
John McCain Sunday asked Republican party officials to curtail the activities at the convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, out of concern for the victims of the storms and asked delegates to "put aside our political hats and put on our American hats" and help those hurt by the storm.
McCain's campaign manager Rick Davis emphasized Monday that all political activity will be suspended for the time being.
"We hope to regain our schedule at some point," Davis said. Mere hours after Hurricane Gustav came ashore, the two women expressed sympathy and support for Louisianans bracing themselves for Gus... more -

Addicts breed dogs to fund drug trade
Drug addicts are breeding dogs to raise cash to fund their habits, according to Scottish animal welfare charities.
Now rescue shelters across the country are being swamped with Staffordshire Bull Terriers that have been sold to or bred by irresponsible owners.
The Scottish SPCA is housing 57 of the dogs now and one group in Angus said more than half of the 70 dogs it had taken in this year were of that breed.
Ian Robb, from Help for Abandoned Animals near Arbroath, said: "The wrong type of people in society are breeding them for their own gains and then dogs are just being abandoned. People who are abusing drugs are breeding the dogs to raise funds to buy the substances they're abusing and this just seems to be happening all over Britain at the moment." Eternal nightmare of the not-so-spotless crackhouse
The Williamsburg house that starred in the film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” has become an eternal nightmare for neighbors.
Squatters, junkies, and prostitutes have turned the vacant building at 59 Orient Ave. — which served as Kate Winslet’s apartment in Michel Gondry’s artsy 2004 flick — into a crackhouse, and residents of the tree-lined block say their safety is at risk.
“What was once a nice neighborhood is going downhill because that place is a haven for people who are using drugs,” said architect Adam Kehr, who lives next door. “It’s scary. We have people walking across our property to go in there to do drugs at all hours of the night.”
The once-grand edifice — which, coincidentally, is on the same street where Gondry just bought a home — went vacant last winter when a longtime owner moved out, and by spring it was a destination for druggies.
Since then, neighbors have spied trespassers tying off their arms and smoking from tinfoil pipes in the overgrown front yard. The Williamsburg house that starred in the film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” has become an eternal nightmare for neighbors.... more -

Cindy McCain's drug addiction highlights press double standards
Cindy McCain used to take drugs. Lots of 'em. She even stole them from her own charity relief organization. But that's not the bigger story.
