      Ever wonder how many creatures are in the oceans? Well the first complete Census of Marine Life is currently in it's 8th year of 10. This census will categorize and count all living creatures in our planet's aquatic environments to create a world wide database. More than 2,000 scientists and volunteers have been participating in the project which is sponsored by the Sloan Foundation and managed by Jesse Ausubel, Sloan Foundation Fellow and Professor at Rockefeller University in NY.
