Would you rather be blind or deaf?
This pod asks a question I have tried to answer all of my life, and it's essay style filmmaking keeps the viewer connected to the material on several levels.
As soon as begin to think "I choose blindness" as my answer, I change my mind and realize I couldn't handle it. I'm a visual artist, but on the other hand I love music.
So, I set out to ask those around me and observe unlikely situations and objects that surround the topic of being blind or deaf.
My niece, who was temporarily blind for a day, gives a child's perspective on the topic.

Recently, while in Santa Monica, CA I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Los Angeles kindergarten teacher Aquarelle Emery about her experience and motivation to participate in the 'Longest Walk 2008" - checkout what she has to say.
Aquarelle, participants and organizers of the 'Longest Walk' illustrate the immense ground swell of interest, involvement - activism of the American people in the political process and this years Presidential election.
A week or so after I met Aquarelle, she returned to the 'Longest Walk' and should be in Washington D.C. now.
PS - Aquarelle is not only an Obama supporter, but has a tremendous voice. At the end of the vid Aquarelle gives us a little teaser of her incredible voice.

Ah the joys of living in Small Town America.
Not the cool, totally-under-water parts of Small Town America, mind you. Just the nearby-to-totally-under-water parts where everything is still soaked and mildewy, but nobody gets to camp out in sports stadiums.
I would *totally* camp out at Miller Park if it came to that. I'm just sayin'...
Whatever that just was aside, my heart absolutely goes out to the people who lost their homes and their livelihoods to the flooding in Central Wisconsin. None of us saw this coming, there's nothing you could've done to stop it, and I'm so sorry that now you're stuck dealing with all this. We've got your backs, CenWi.

QUIDAM - THE MOVIE , Cirque du Soleil in Malaga, Spain
Quidam by Cirque du Soleil made its debut in 1996. Since than the acts such as "Aerial Hoops", "Diabolos", "German Wheel" become classic and almost everybody already heard or could easily find out what they are about.
Very little publicly has been focused on the hysterically funny and extraordinary performances of the clown Toto Castineiras, which were introduced in the program in 2004. There are two acts, both involving the audience participation. The first one is a car excursion and the last one is a movie (as seen on the video), which unfolds all stages of the production from choosing the actors within the audience to the final "location filming". It's difficult to believe that the acts are not staged. It's because of Toto's directorial skills, which reveal the talents and creativity of his "actors". Javier Gutierrez completed his feature film debut 3 DIAS - BEFORE THE FALL early this year. The sci-fi thriller has been produced by Antonio Banderas’ Green Moon Productions and Antonio Perez’s Maestranza in Seville as a part of a scheme helping to produce movies of young directors in Andalucia.
3 DIAS was premiered at the last Berlin International Film Festival and. The movie has won the best feature film award “Biznaga de Oro” and three other prizes at the Spanish Film Festival de Malaga 2008.
Javier Gutierrez has a Degree in Law through Complutense University in Madrid. He studied in private Film Schools in Spain and in 2001 he founded his own film production company "DR. T Producciones Cinematograficas", which took its name from the fantasy cult movie "The 5,000 fingers of Dr. T ”.
Gutierrez made a few short films including NORMAN'S ROOM (2002), BRASIL (2001) and EL CUERPO (1999), which have been awarded on many Film Festivals including AFI Fest, Alcalá de Henares Short Film Festival, Cartagena Film Festival, Cinema Jove - Valencia International Film Festival, Cinénygma - Luxembourg International Film Festival, Fantasporto, Metz European Meeting of Short Film, Málaga International Week of Fantastic Cinema, Screamfest, Sitges - Catalonian International Film Festival. STREET ART - Rodin in Malaga, the movie
The work of the world-famous French sculptor, Auguste Rodin, was gracing the most famous street in Málaga, Calle Marqués de Larios. The original sculptures of the six ‘Burghers of Calais’ and Rodin’s ‘The Thinker,’ were unveiled on their pedestals in the old part of the city centre. The Thinker, Rodin’s most famous sculpture and one of the world’s most recognised works of art, was commissioned by the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, to act as a portal to the entrance of the museum based on Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’ and part of a wider concept of the Gates of Hell.
It’s the first Rodin exhibition of its type in Spain, and also, according to the Málaga newspaper, La Opinión de Málaga, the first time his work has left the Rodin Museum in Paris for an exhibition in the street.
