Marissa Nadler, famed singer of dark and beautiful folk songs, jokes with Chris Manz backstage before her show at "spaceland" in Los Angeles.
Combines hand-drawn animation, found footage home movies from the 60s, lo-fi graphics, live music, comedy improvisation, and journalism into an off/kilter internet TV show/music video/short film.
The idea was to present the artist, Marissa, in an aesthetic which could reflect her music.
There's no budget and it's all shot on miniDV.

Here it is with a very basic FCP filter over the visuals.
I thought it might be nice to improvise a film score, especially since I'm playing a Wurlitzer piano. (silent movie houses would often accompany the films using a wurlitzer organ, also called a "one man band," and the music was often improvised).
